This year our advisory welcomes nine new students, each one bringing a unique set of interests to our “family”. Students are really taking advantage of the opportunities Durango Big Picture High School has to offer. Four students are attending college classes this fall, two students have already completed shadow days, the first step in securing an internship, and all nine seniors have begun to execute their Senior Thesis Projects, the culminating service learning project our seniors complete before graduation. I am looking forward to another wonderful year; a fresh start, a chance to learn new things, and to share in the academic, personal, and social growth that comes with students taking control of their education.
