I arrived in Durango in 2011 to pursue my education at Fort Lewis College. Since growing up in the western suburbs of Denver, the community-oriented and down-to-earth culture of Durango has made it my true home. After graduating from FLC in 2015 with my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Human Services, I knew I wanted to establish roots here in Durango while putting my passions for mental health and overall wellness to work. Since arriving at Big Picture in 2016, I have been able to do exactly this through the Summit Program. I strive to know all of our students on an authentic and personal level so I can be a resource for them as they embark on their individual journeys toward personal, social, and academic success. My favorite part of coming to work is leading our wellness group where I especially love introducing the practice of mindfulness to our students along with skills to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life.
When I am not at Big Picture, I can usually be found in the gym, at a coffee shop with a good book, or playing in my kitchen. I am lucky to be able to call Durango my home and even luckier to spend everyday with the awesome students at Big Picture High School.
