This measure is being taken in order to increase security and safety for our students and staff and is a measure taking place in all schools across the district. Currently, all our elementary schools have this system.
We will have different drop-off procedures and pick-up procedures because of this new feature as well as some new ways to access the school building during school hours. During school hours, please push the button on the silver box to the left of the entrance doors. Our security personnel will identify you and then buzz you in. We appreciate your support of these measures, as a small disruption can make a huge difference in student and staff safety.
Please note that our visitor policies remain the same, which requires all visitors, including parents and family members, to stop-in at the front office and sign in to receive a visitor’s badge. Now visitors will also be buzzed in prior to stopping in the office.
